GE Building perhaps
It might be the GE (General Electric) building. NBC also did shows from there, and for several years from 1986 on, GE (for the second time) owned NBC. When David Letterman did his show then on NBC, he would sometimes produce footage where he asked passersby goofy questions in the lobby of the GE building. Once a GE rep (who likely wasn't aware of who D. Letterman was) approached him in the lobby while they were filming and Dave tried to shake the guy's hand, but the rep refused the gesture, telling Dave that he wasn't allowed to film things there. So, during the opening monologue in one of his shows after that, the lights went out on the set unexpectedly, and the only thing visible on the TV screen was a stage crew member who shined his flashlight on a lightbulb he was holding to explain the blackout, saying "You know Dave, these GE bulbs really suck." That likely didn't "bring good things to life" between the GE people (which would also include NBC execs below them) and Dave. The last straw for Dave occurred when NBC passed over Dave and chose Jay Leno to replace the retiring Johnny Carson for the "Tonight Show". Despite Letterman being considered an innovator in TV comedy and Leno a merely snappy stand up, Leno regularly beat Letterman in the ratings. This corporate headquarters for GE is impressive, as it boasts a commanding presence in its part of New York City, and even has a history of riveting drama with a couple notable personalities who once worked for what was one of GE's properties then, NBC.

What is this?
We are in New York again, for a shot of a building, a skyscraper even! It does look familiar, but I'm not sure what is is, sorry.
